Hi there!
I'm the Stuzo Guy. I'd like to officially welcome you and tell you a little bit about the history of Stuzo.
If this is your first visit, you may notice that the current Stuzo Community is comprised mostly of college students. I launched Stuzo in Philadelphia while in my senior year at Temple University. The site was originally developed specifically to help college students fight the battle against the outrageous prices that bookstores charge for textbooks. I thought that it would be cool to combine the efficiency of online shopping with the convenience of local, in person exchanges. Stuzo enabled students to sell textbooks online and then meet locally, on campus for the exchange. In only a few semesters we managed to save Philadelphia college students over $250,000 on textbooks.
One day a few months ago while cleaning, I began to notice that my collection of books and CDs were just sitting there collecting dust. It was then that the idea hit me. What about an online community that connects people through the books, movies, music, and games they have, love, and want. I started thinking to myself that I was surly not alone. Practically everyone listens to music, most people watch movies, and millions of us love to read a good book. The tipping point came when I realized that the books that we read, the movies that we watch, and the music that we listen to, say a lot about our personalities and who we are.
Now six months later, the new Stuzo is here. Our company focus is to connect people through media. We aim to cross social interaction with commerce around books, music, movies, and games. We want to make Stuzo your place to:
• Organize and show off your collections of books, movies, music, and games
• Connect with people that share your tastes in books, movies, music, and games
• Create and answer trivia questions about books, movies, music, and games
• Rate, discuss, and share your favorite books, movies, music, and games
• Trade your books, movies, music, and games for FREE!
I will be your first friend on Stuzo once you Join the Community. Write me a note and say hello. I'd love to hear your comments and feedback. We are just getting started and trying to build the type of company where the voice of our community matters. You can check out my profile here.
Cheers,
Gunter - The Stuzo Guy
