Stuzo.com is a FREE community based trading platform. The site enables Community Members to trade goods, while setting their own value for the items. Items to be found include CDs, DVDs, Leisure Books, Textbooks, and Video Games.
The Stuzo.com system is separated into a General and a College Community. Members of the General Community can trade through the mail and interact electronically with members of the College Community, and vice versa. The two communities are; however, separate in that members of the General Community cannot meet to exchange trades in person with members from the College Community. Members of the General Community that live within the same zip code or 5 miles of each other have the option of meeting in person for the exchange of trades. The same holds true for members of the College Community; students, faculty members, and administrators that attend classes or work at the same campus have the option of meeting in person on that campus for trades.
Note: Team Stuzo does not support the practice of trading bootlegged material. This is a violation of both our honor system (terms of service agreement) and the law. All users attempting to trade or sell these items will be immediately and permanently removed from the Stuzo.com Community.

IM Screen Name(s) - allows members to send you a message when an in-person or on-campus transaction occurs.
Cell Phone Number – allows members to contact you by cell phone when an in-person or on-campus transaction occurs.
Text Message Notification - gives you the convenience of being text messaged when one of your items is traded through Stuzo.com.

Trading is fast, fun, easy, and best of all FREE! The Stuzo system currently supports two types of trades. They are:
1. Indirect Trades:
Indirect trades are trades where you trade one of your items forward in return for Trade Points that you can then take and trade for another item. An example of this would be you trading your DVD to another Stuzo Member in return for 3 (we pulled this number out of thin air) Trade Points that you can then use to trade for any item (CD, book, video game) on the Stuzo Marketplace that is of equal or lesser value in terms of Trade Points. Indirect trades are as easy as pie. We do all the work for you. All you have to do is list the items that you have available for trade and add the items that you want to your Wish List. Our Stuzobot will then get to work for you to sniff out potential trade partners. Yep, it’s that simple. You will at times even be able to use the Trade Points that you receive for a trade to trade for an item that has a higher dollar value relative to the item that you traded away.
To find out just how easy it is to list your items up for trade, click here.
To find out just how easy it is to add items to your Wish List, click here.

2. Direct Trades:
Direct trades are trades where you trade one of your items in return for an item that you want. An example of this would be you trading your CD to another Stuzo Member in return for a DVD that you want from that Stuzo member. Direct trades are as easy as pie. We do all the work for you. All you have to do is list the items that you have available for trade and add the items that you want to your Wish List. Our Stuzobot will then get to work for you to sniff out potential trade partners. Yep, it’s that simple. Two happy Stuzo Members, both getting what they want.

Trade Points are your gateway to a fantastic Stuzo experience. They are virtual moneys that you can earn, buy (on special occasions), and use to take advantage of the best trading system and fastest checkout on the web. We are only in the preliminary stages of developing our Trade Points capabilities. As of now you can earn Trade Points by trading your items to other Stuzo Members and by referring your friends. This is a win-win. You earn, and both you and your friends save by using Stuzo.com. That’s the way Team Stuzo does.
Team Stuzo will initially also offer a special once a month Trade Points Purchasing Day where a set number of lucky Stuzo Community Members will be allowed to buy 3 Trade Points—a $15 value—for just $9.99. So, be on the lookout for a notification about this special Trade Points Purchasing Day. The Trade Points will be divvied up on a first come first serve bases.
Once you’ve got your Trade Points, go ahead and experience the fun of trading and the ease of STUZOUT - the fastest checkout on the web! Don’t take our word; try it for yourself the next time you shop The Stuzo Way.
The number of Trade Points you receive for an item is determined by the dollar value that you set for your item. Please see below for the Stuzo Trade Points valuation schedule:
At the present time you can use your Trade Points to trade for CDs, DVDs, Leisure Books, and Video Games. Please see below for the Stuzo Trade Points valuation schedule:
Trade Points do not have an exact dollar value associated with them. Technically speaking, the dollar value of 1 Trade Point is between $1 and $5 and can be derived by dividing the value of your item by the number of Trade Points received for the item. Economically speaking, each Trade Point has a purchasing power of $5. We may make periodic adjustments to the valuation of Trade Points to keep our trading economy in optimal balance. You may want to think of Team Stuzo as the Ben Bernanke (Chairman of the Federal Reserve System) of the Stuzo ecosystem.
STUZOUT is a checkout process designed for our users’ convenience. At Checkout, members can click on “STUZOUT” instead of normal Checkout. STUZOUT will automatically be activated when your Trade Points balance covers your total amount due; this checkout method makes your shopping experience easier and faster than ever! You will skip the tedious steps of filling in your address and credit card information because the amount due will be deducted directly from your Trade Points Account. Click STUZOUT and be “out”!

The ISBN (International Standard Book Number) product numbers are used to identify a specific book. Stuzo.com utilizes the ISBN as a way for our users to post and search for Textbooks and Leisure Books. You do not have to place the dashes (-‘s) in when entering the ISBN, however, our system will recognize them.
The ISBN code is often found on the lower right-hand corner of the back cover of the book.
The UPC (Universal Product Code) product codes are used to identify a specific product. UPC codes are used for a variety of retail products such as CDs, DVDs, and Video Games. Stuzo.com utilizes the UPC as a way for our users to post and search for items.

Ultimately, determining “Current Value” of your item is up to you. However, in trying to establish a competitive value for the item, Team Stuzo will provide you with suggested values. We have worked hard and long to create a formula that creates the best values to benefit both the trading parties. The suggested listing value is based on the marketplace/list value, your purchase price, and the condition of the product that you are listing. Our suggestions are only given when the item is new to our marketplace. If the item is already up for trade, then we will provide the three items with the lowest values currently listed in our marketplace for you to compare with.
Tags are keywords. For example, let’s say that you are listing a Beatles CD. You might want to tag it as beatles, rock, or strawberryfields. Tags are used to help members find items which have something in common. We encourage you to “tag” all the items that you list on Stuzo.
Stuzo provides three different methods of transaction and exchange:
1. Airmail
Airmail simply means mailing the item to the other party. This process is coordinated by the trader. The two types of Airmail transactions are:
Airmail Trade: Handle the exchange of the trade through the mail. In such cases, the receiving party of the trade will have already paid with Trade Points at the time of the online transaction on Stuzo.com. Traders will receive an immediate Trade Points payout for the trade from Stuzo at the time when the transaction is confirmed.
Airmail Sale: Handle only the exchange of the item through the mail. In such cases, the item will have already been paid for by the buyer via a credit/debit card at the time of the online transaction on Stuzo.com. Team Stuzo sends the seller payment for the sale. To find out more about payment dispersals, click here.
Tip: You can handle the shipping of items with ease from your My STUZO page under My Transaction History. There you can calculate the cost of postage and print out a fully prepared shipping label including a USPS Delivery Confirmation(TM) tracking number at the electronic discounted rate of only $.14.
For instructions on how to mail out items, click here.
2. Meet In-Person (only applicable to members of the General Community)
Meet In-Person is great way to finalize your transaction. When an item is exchanged between two individuals that reside within the same zip code or 5 miles from each other, both parties involved in the trade can opt to save time and money by exchanging the item(s) in person. This option benefits you because it completely cuts out the time and monetary costs in shipping! The three forms of Meet In-Person transactions are:
In-Person Trade: Handle the exchange of the trade in person at a location of your choosing. In such cases, the receiving party of the trade will have already paid with Trade Points at the time of the online transaction on Stuzo.com. Traders will receive an immediate Trade Points payout for the trade from Stuzo at the time when the transaction is confirmed.
In-Person Cash Sale: Handle both the exchange of the item and the payment for the item in person at a location of your choosing.
In-Person Credit Sale: Handle only the exchange of the item in person at a location of your choosing. In such cases, the item will have already been paid for by the buyer via a credit/debit card at the time of the online transaction on Stuzo.com. Team Stuzo sends the seller payment for the sale.
To find out more about payment dispersals, click here.
3. Meet On-Campus (only applicable to members of the Student Community)
Meet On-Campus is great way to finalize your transaction. When an item is exchanged between two students on the same school campus, both parties involved in the trade can opt to save time and money by exchanging the item(s) in person. This option benefits you because it completely cuts out the time and monetary costs in shipping! The three forms of Meet-On-Campus transactions are:
On-Campus Trade: Handle the exchange of the trade in person on the school campus. In such cases, the receiving party of the trade will have already paid with Trade Points at the time of the online transaction on Stuzo.com. Traders will receive an immediate Trade Points payout for the trade from Stuzo at the time when the transaction is confirmed.
On-Campus Cash Sale: Handle both the exchange of the item and the payment for the item in person on the school campus.
On-Campus Credit Sale: Handle only the exchange of the item in person on the school campus. In such cases, the item will have already been paid for by the buyer via a credit/debit card at the time of the online transaction on Stuzo.com. Team Stuzo sends the seller payment for the sale.
To find out more about payment dispersals, click here.
Yes you can! You can sell the same exact items that you can trade on Stuzo. Team Stuzo, unfortunately does have to charge a fee based on the percentage of the sales value on successful sales. This is because we need some form of income to pay our bills. We get charged a fee for accepting credit/debit cards. Sorry folks, this is completely out of our hands. Please find the Stuzo sales fee schedule below:
Traders think about it… the sooner you mail the goods, the sooner you get paid! Team Stuzo recommends that traders ship out their trade as soon as possible. As a general rule of thumb, traders should have shipped their package to the tradee within 48 hours of notification of trade.
Shipping is coordinated by the trader. The cost of shipping will vary depending on the type of item shipped. You can handle the shipping of items with ease from your My STUZO page under My Transaction History. There you can calculate the cost of postage and print out a fully prepared shipping label including a USPS Delivery Confirmation(TM) tracking number at the electronic discounted rate of only $.14. Please note that, due to USPS National Security regulations, packages weighing more than 1 lb will need to be taken to the Post Office. See below for the shipping costs of some common items:
CDs, DVDs, and most Video Games
Shipping standard sized CDs, DVDs, and Video Games, including all of the original cover art and packaging, will cost a mere $1.25. This is via First Class Mail and even includes a USPS Delivery Confirmation(TM) tracking number at the electronic discounted rate of only $.14.
You can ship standard sized CDs, DVDs, and Video Games with ease by placing them in a 6 x 9" envelope, printing out the shipping label from your My Stuzo page, sticking the label and the necessary postage ($1.25 – Team Stuzo recommends using two $.63 stamps) onto the envelope, and then simply dropping the package into the closest mailbox.
To buy a Pane of 20 $.63 stamps from the USPS, click here.
Practically all Leisure Books
Shipping books that are up to 3 lbs in weight all the way across the US will cost no more than $3 and most will cost only $1.73. This is via Media Mail and even includes a USPS Delivery Confirmation(TM) tracking number at the electronic discounted rate of only $.14.
Some REALLY heavy Textbooks
Team Stuzo recommends that all textbooks that need to be shipped across five or more states should be shipped using USPS Priority Mail. Shipping the heaviest of textbooks using a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate Box willcost you$8.10, regardless of weight (up to a 70 lb. maximum) or destination.
Note: A shipping cost reimbursement of $3 is applied to the balance due to the seller for all sales transactions where an item is to be shipped.
Properly shipping your traded items ensures that the receiving party gets them in the condition that was presented to them at the time of the online transaction. To get your item ready for shipping in less than 5 minutes, just follow the simple steps outlined below:
Log into your Stuzo account and find the relevant transaction under your My Transaction History section of your My Stuzo page.
Click on Handle Shipping, calculate the cost of postage and print out a fully prepared shipping label including a USPS Delivery Confirmation(TM) tracking number at the electronic discounted rate of only $.14.
Click on Transaction Email, print out the notification of trade and remember to include this in the package. This will serve as the Packing Slip.
Team Stuzo recommends packing the items properly and securely by wrapping (not needed for CDs, DVDs, and Video Games as long as they are shipped in their original packaging) the items in protective packing materials (Styrofoam, bubble wrap, or newspaper).
Place the product in the shipping envelope (Team Stuzo recommends using a 6 x 9" envelope for CDs, DVDs, and Video Games) or box and seal securely. Did you remember to include the packing slip?
Paste the fully prepared shipping label that you printed out in STEP 2 onto the envelope or box. Note: please make sure not to tape over the tracking number information.
If the package weighs less then 1 lb (CDs, DVDs, Video Games, and most Leisure Books), then just stick on the necessary postage and toss it into the nearest mailbox. Yep, it’s that easy. Please note that, due to USPS National Security regulations, packages weighing more than 1 lb will need to be taken to the Post Office
Don’t have a printer?
No need to worry, you can still mail out your items with ease. Just follow the above steps and instead of printing, handwrite the address information and packing slip. Note: you will need to take all items to the Post Office to obtain a USPS Delivery Confirmation(TM) tracking number and that you will have to pay the retail rate of $.60 instead of the electronic rate of $.14 for the tracking service.

We take care of that for you. All you have to do is confirm that the package is on its way. You can do this with ease from your My Stuzo page under your My Transaction History section. Please note that you must enter a valid USPS tracking number in order to confirm the shipment and receive payment for the trade or sale.
Stuzo.com has the fastest payouts on the web! Depending on the transaction type, you will be paid with either Trade Points, cash, check, or a PayPal transfer. Please see below for more information.

Stuzo provides three different methods of transaction and exchange:
1. Airmail
Airmail simply means that you will be receiving the item though the mail.

Team Stuzo wants to protect your information as much as you do. We do all that we can in following industry standard practices to protect our users’ confidentiality. All credit card information submitted during a transaction is encrypted through secure socket layers (SSL) and is protected behind firewalls. Please note that your credit card information is not stored on our servers. For more information, please see our Privacy Policy. Additionally, you may take a look at Stuzo.com’s VeriSign certificate here.
Ok, first things first – Don’t panic! When you provide us with your credit card information, Team Stuzo verifies the information with your Credit Card Company or bank. In some cases, these institutions reply back to us with a “Decline”. In this event, it is our duty to inform you. Please note that Stuzo.com does not decline the card, and that there may be external factors that have caused your card to yield this result. To best facilitate your investigation and get to the bottom of this status, Team Stuzo recommends that you try to re-enter the card information again.
In some cases, the information on the card was entered correctly. If this is the case, we recommend that you contact the Credit Card Company or card issuing bank to further investigate the cause.
Team Stuzo recommends that traders ship out their trade as soon as possible. As a general rule of thumb, traders should have shipped their package to the buyer within 48 hours of notification of sale
Team Stuzo apologizes for any inconvenience in this status! Here are the steps that we recommend:
Contact the trader by email.
Email information is located in your My Transaction History section of your My Stuzo page or in the successful transaction notification sent to you by Team Stuzo at the time of trade.
Kindly request a status or any information concerning the shipment.
An In-Person Cash (available only to members of the General Community) or On-Campus Cash (available only to members of the College Community) exchange occurs when you pay the seller in person with cash at the time of exchange. When members sell items on the site, Stuzo.com deducts a minimal sales fee. This processing charge is, for cash transactions, to be paid by the buyer with a credit/debit card at the time of checkout. The remaining balance is the amount you pay the seller, which is equal to the amount that the seller posted the book for, minus the Stuzo Processing Fee. The fees are essentially to cover our costs and to keep our Stuzo Community up and running for you, but also to weed out the “bad apples” that do not follow through on In-Person and On-Campus Cash Transactions. Team Stuzo makes all efforts in running a “clean marketplace” and keeping this charge as minimal as possible for you so you and your friends can continue to have fun and save!
Users do not worry! Team Stuzo is doing what they can to assure you that you will never walk away empty handed! We have created a convenience that when a product does not exist within our Stuzo database, you will automatically view the product and availability with our friends at Amazon.com.
