We introduced the world of social solution development to the concept of reusable components years ago, and now we’re profiling some of the most popular components on the Stuzo technology platform in a new weekly series. For more background on the Stuzo social technology platform and our reusable components, check out Stuzo Social: Reusable Components on our Insights Blog.

The below Stuzo Social Components are built specifically to drive engagement through social authentication, social sharing through Open Graph Stories, and through lightweight social actions, like voting.

Social Authentication Component

Social Authentication Component:

The Social Authentication Component is a core element of virtually every social and mobile experience. This allows the user to link a specific social network account to the experience, and allows the application to then pull and display personalized, contextual data back to the user. This reusable component is also invaluable for a seamless user experience – no forms to fill out – and enables the application to link the user to a CRM, loyalty, or other database system.

From a technical standpoint, the Social Authentication Component leverages OAuth for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Foursquare, and LinkedIn, and integrates a custom authentication for other social platforms, like Vine, as needed.

Open Graph Component

Open Graph Component:

The Open Graph Component is specific to the Facebook Platform, which allows for both Open Graph plugins, such as Likes, Comments, and Shares, to more robust custom Open Graph stories, like “Sally cooked a recipe using Recipe App,” where cooked is the custom action and recipe is the custom object.

This makes your social campaign or solution more contextually relevant to the userʼs friends in-stream, is multilingual, and is incredibly important for mobile engagement, as nearly 70%+ of engagement within the native mobile Facebook app occurs in the News Feed.

Social Voting Component

Social Voting Component:

Voting is a common mechanic in social and mobile experiences, and the Social Voting Component enables users to vote for a piece of content – either provided by the brand or submitted by another user – with ease, then share with friends. This reusable component is creates an easy way for the user to voice their opinion by logging a vote with the experience, then sharing their vote out to their social connections. It can also be localized to any number of global markets and languages.

When it come to the inherent functionality, the Social Voting Component handles user data (e.g. Facebook ID, email address, etc.), voting data (e.g. 10 votes for nominee A), and voting logic (e.g. user gets 3 votes per calendar day).
