Each quarter, we ask the entire company to nominate their peers for values they find important at Stuzo.
For Q3 2013, the winners were selected based on the criteria of being a contributor who boosts morale, is encouraging, and always lends a helping hand. We wanted to recognize team members who push themselves, and their co-workers, to be their very best. In the words of Rocky Balboa, “If I can change, and you can change, everybody can change.”
We are pleased to introduce you to the winners that were selected by their peers this quarter and take the reigning championship title (+ trophy and all the glory) to their respective offices.
From all of us at Stuzo to you – thank you for all you do!
Drumroll please….
Congratulations to Joe who takes the reigns of the Rocky Balboa Trophy!
We sat down for a little Q&A with our winners this quarter to let you see behind the scenes at Stuzo and learn a little more about these all-stars.
Can you tell us a little about what you do at Stuzo?
As a project manager for Stuzo, I manage creative, development and deployment of web applications — I work with our clients and with our strategy, creative, dev and QA teams to take the project from words on the page to a full-blown interactive marketing experience. I also work on the account management team in a hybrid role when not working on producing client works. In that role I try to reproduce and present to customers the magic that happens here to keep our clients happy and coming back for more!
What trends are you following in digital marketing and why do you think brands should care about those trends?
I think there’s a real opportunity in using Bluetooth LE to unlock some pretty cool functionality for brand marketers — example: users with an app installed could receive notifications with a coupon when they walk by or near a store; that’s some pretty powerful, Minority Report stuff.
What are some business blogs or books you follow or read and are worth others in this space checking out and why?
I read TechMeme for general tech news and the official Facebook Developer Blog is great for keeping up with news about developing on the (constantly changing) Facebook platform. A really good book we’re reading right now at Stuzo is The Art of Client Service by Robert Solomon; it’s sort of a playbook for working with clients and keeping yourself sane and them happy–recommended!
Congratulations to Olga who takes the reigns of the Rising to the Top Trophy!
Can you tell us a little about what you do at Stuzo?
I am a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer on our team. I test our client’s social apps, websites, and other projects we build before they touch the hands of our clients – mainly focusing on functionality, creative, copy and privacy. I also provide live monitoring of our experiences and support on the testing of our in-house products.
What trends are you following in digital marketing and why do you think brands should care about those trends?
I closely follow the massive adoption of mobile browsing across the globe. I tend to quite often use the smartphone for browsing the web which I would normally do with a desktop browser, and am seeing this behavior being reproduced on all the projects I’ve been working on this year. I think this is extremely important to brands – so they can think of delivering experiences to engage the mobile users as part of the strategy early on and not only think of the desktop experience.
Also, I am becoming more and more addicted to Instagram. I think we will see more advertiser solutions and apps like this on the mobile device which will get uptake.
What do you enjoy about working at Stuzo?
My favorite part about working at Stuzo is the team work and collaboration between the team members. Just like at other companies – we may have issues during the stage of our projects, but solutions are always quickly found here, presented and a consensus is often reached. We often get to hear the positive feedback directly from our happy clients which makes it all worth it!
