Challenge

Good things grow in Ontario, and our mission was to develop Foodland Ontario's first large-scale custom social experience. All summer long, Foodland Ontario would be setting up shop at festivals across Canada, and we needed a way to bridge the gap between the real-world events and Foodland Ontario's social presence.

Solution

We collaborated with Foodland Ontario's agency, and leveraged consumers' love of the brand's jingle (so catchy) to design the Sing & Win video contest. Consumers could enter the contest at the Foodland Ontario stage at the festivals all summer, have themselves recorded singing the jingle, and then go to Facebook to see their 15 seconds of fame. The technical implementation involved having the Foodland Ontario representatives on-site upload videos in bulk into the Stuzo Social Engagement Platform for display within the Sing & Win gallery. The intuitive back-end administration panel allowed for flexibility and fluidity, and enabled them to surprise and delight their consumers with the speed of their video appearing on the Facebook page. Additionally, dynamic event location creation allowed for the experience to automatically update when a new festival occurred with fresh videos for the gallery.

Results

After only six weeks, Foodland Ontario had generated over 550 video clips and a few very happy jinglers. At the conclusion of the summer, the experience is projected to have garnered nearly 1,500 jingles and will have connected Foodland Ontario's digital and social presence with a fun, real-world experience that will last with the consumer next time they're meandering through the grocery isles.
