GRAMMYS Live Contest
Type of Campaign:

Challenge
CBS is putting on the 54th annual GRAMMY Awards this February and wanted a way to socialize the experience, giving the fans a way to participate, share, and contribute to this year's GRAMMY Awards. Solution
Stuzo developed a social experience on the GRAMMY Awards Facebook Page that gives one up-and-coming band the opportunity of a lifetime to play GRAMMY Live in L.A. during music's biggest week! Fans of the GRAMMY Awards enter the experience and can browse nominated bands using an interactive map segmented into regional galleries. To nominate, consumers can be either in the band, a roadie, a family member, a friend of a bandmate, or just a die-hard fan. Each nomination is tied to that band's Facebook Page, creating earned media for each band that participates, and a video is uploaded to give visitors an idea of how great that nominee really is during a live performance. Lastly, the consumer can select several GRAMMY nominated artists that most closely resemble the style of the small-town hit that they're nominating. Know a band that deserves a shot? Now's your chance to nominate them for a chance to be a part of music's biggest week. Results
Garage to GRAMMYS was live from December 1st to February 29th, and generated over 750,000 votes, 1,000 band submissions, and about 7 million social impressions. In the end, Almost Kings was selected from the South Atlantic region to perform at GRAMMY Live, and kicked off the best GRAMMY Awards yet!
