Megamind needed an engaging application that would increase its Facebook fan base and build anticipation for its upcoming release.

Solution

Sustaining buzz for a movie premiere can be difficult, but Stuzo was up to the mega-sized challenge. Stuzo conceived, designed, and developed the highly addictive Mega Instant Win Game, an interactive slot machine where fans tried their luck at landing three characters in a row. Winners were automatically notified via email of their instant prizes and entered to win a grand prize. The game also featured shares, invites, and an internal newsfeed to help spread the fun.

Results

The Megamind slot machine was spun 215,000 times by 24,000 people in just two weeks. 715 instant prizes and 4 grand prizes were awarded. Players took advantage of the three spins per day rule, coming back an average of nine times to play. Both the game and the premiere of the movie helped to amplify the Megamind fan base from 45,000 to 500,000.
