Challenge

Variety in what you eat and how you exercise can be important for staying on track. The Qupio™ Program, from Kao Brands, offers meal and activity plans with choice that help users avoid the boredom that can come from following the same routine every day. Qupio™ is a lifestyle management tool for people with Type 2 diabetes, or who are overweight and may be at risk for developing Type 2 diabetes. It offers users a customized plan for diet and exercise. Information provided through Qupio™ does not replace the need for users to consult with a physician. Kao wanted to launch the Qupio™ Community on Facebook, and Stuzo was the partner to bring it to life.

Solution

The Qupio™ Community on Facebook allows consumers to essentially do two things: start and join conversations with other Qupio™ members as a means of group support, and to share and download recipes that fit within the healthy lifestyle of the Qupio™ Program. Consumers can view topic threads, add new topics and comments, and share topics and comments with their social graph. The recipes section enables the consumer to filter, sort, and search through the community generated recipe database, save recipes for later, add their own healthy recipes with ingredient lists, and share the best recipes throughout the graph.

Results

The Qupio™ Community is currently in pilot mode, and activity numbers cannot yet be shared, but check back for updates as Qupio™ prepares for a public launch!
