As an annual tradition, Stuzo has volunteered on the ground on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to remember and celebrate the life and work of Dr. King and to strengthen our communities by assisting with computer repairs, neighborhood cleanup, community center improvements, feeding and clothing the homeless, and supplying and organizing school supplies among other activities.
Unfortunately, group opportunities have been canceled this year due to pandemic restrictions. To continue to support families in need and specifically aid lower-income areas, Stuzo has made a donation to Friends Grow Friends Foundation, Inc., which runs social skills programs for children with mild to moderate special needs in grades Pre-K-10. The funds will be used to expand the nonprofit’s network and provide scholarships in order to reach more children who may not have access to services for improved development and ultimately, healthier and happier childhoods.
We look forward to this year and 2022 as being when we can begin to get back to the future, and we look forward to one day being able to pick up where we left off on this holiday.
