When Stuzo was spun back into an independent company out of Dachis Group at the beginning of 2013, I stepped back to ask myself what digital marketing would look like in three to five years. The data pointed in one direction: mobile. Mobile will be the only computing platform that matters five years from now. However, mobile marketing is complex, time consuming, and expensive to execute for businesses, both large and small.
With that in mind, Stuzo assembled a skunkworks team of 15 social marketing technology pioneers to envision a more effective, faster, and simpler way for organizations to engage consumers seamlessly across mobile channels. We’ve been busy, quietly building the infrastructure that will enable us to deliver on our vision and mission of Easy Mobile Marketing.
We see next-generation experiences being delivered as a layer that can live on top of any platform, device, or channel. To enable this, we’ve built MEG – the Mobile Engagement Gateway, available at MEG.com.
We think that MEG is pretty special and that you’ll think so too after experiencing how your business can do a lot with a little help from MEG.
MEG delivers powerful turnkey capabilities that drive measurable business results across mobile marketing without having to staff a team of designers and engineers to integrate expensive point solutions across operating systems, devices, and app stores. Key features include:
- App Store & DIY Marketing Apps: MEG launched with a set of easy-to-use marketing apps that are Free for all: Link, Facebook Feed, Twitter Feed, Notification, Text Poll, Image Poll, Signup Form, Call, Follow, Share, Hashtag Gallery, Instagram Feed, Message, and HTML.
- Fast App Customization: MEG Apps can be customized and launched in less than 2 minutes. Customization includes changing everything from the name of the app to the input fields and outputs for each MEG App. Regardless of language or style, MEG Apps are easily customized to meet specific business needs.
- Intelligent App Rules: Support for date and time ranges, device targeting (phone, tablet, desktop), and automatic deployment rules enable businesses to select where, when, and how MEG Apps are launched to customers.
- Ease of Deployment Across Marketing Channels: MEG Apps can be launched across websites, Facebook, Twitter and other social media, through native iOS and Android apps, and soon in physical stores and venues (through iBeacon technology), all in a matter of minutes.
- Quick Branding with Themes: Themes enable a business to customize MEG to their brand. Businesses can upload their logo and select from a palette of themes.
- Real-Time Analytics: An easy to understand user interface provides key performance indicators and data visualizations with insights about user engagement, time spent, and retention. With app specific metrics, businesses can track every interaction within a MEG App to understand how frequently consumers use MEG Apps, what paths they take, on what devices they interact, and where they are using MEG Apps.
- Works Across All Major Mobile Platforms: MEG Apps have been designed to work across all major mobile operating systems and devices, such as iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and all of the latest Android powered devices.
We soft launched about a month ago, having to date focused all of our efforts locally. We’ll continue to do this over the coming quarter or two. Though ultimately, we believe that every website and mobile app in the world will benefit from MEG.
Our team has been building out our infrastructure to be extensible. From the delivery of a private marketing app store, to custom apps, with a unique set of launch rules, app specific analytics, and branded themes, we’re able to quickly iterate our infrastructure to meet a broad set of business objectives.
We’re just getting started on our mission to deliver Easy Mobile Marketing. We’re not even near 1% done. The past year was about infrastructure and some light app work. The next year will be about iteration and market focus.
You can see the beginnings of our vision come to life at http://www.meg.com and http://apps.meg.com. Drop us a line if you’re interested in a personal introduction to MEG.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing a few more pieces to our puzzle. Stay tuned.
