We are proud to announce that one of our many talented team members, iOS Engineer Yulia Potapenko, hosted an AR-themed mobile development event in Kyiv last week titled Women Who Code. The event attracted over 100 members of the local development community. The mission of the Women Who Code community is to inspire women to excel in technology careers.
The event provided an overview of native frameworks ARCore (Android) and ARKit (iOS), which were introduced recently. We started from basic AR concepts and notions and proceeded to a live-action coding and demonstration of a simple face-recognition + AR project. Several of our event attendees were working on commercial AR projects and contributed to making the Women Who Code event very high-value for all attendees.
